Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat
Sauté onions, celery, carrots, and garlic in the melted butter until they soften
Add parsley, rosemary, thyme, and marjoram to the veggies and cook for 2 more minutes
Cut the dried bread into small pieces and put them in a large bowl
Pour the vegetable mixture over the bread and stir
Add broth, salt, pepper, and egg into the bread mixture and stir well
Put the stuffing mixture into a large buttered baking dish
Pour the remaining melted butter evenly over the stuffing
Bake for 30-45 minutes until the top of the stuffing is browned and crispy.
