I Used to Struggle Just Like You...
In my early-mid twenties, I was lugging around an extra 50 lbs. My diet was a hot mess – fast food, pre-packaged meals, soda were my go-to’s. As for exercise, let’s just say a couple flights of stairs left me winded.
My habits soon caught up with me, and I found myself on blood pressure meds by my mid-late twenties. This was my wake up call, I had to get my sh*it together!
I tried all of the quick fixes: went low-fat for awhile, keto, weight watchers, and even tried the P90x craze. I’d lose a few pounds, but then they’d creep back, bringing friends.
So What Flipped the Switch for Me?
I ditched the all-or-nothing mindset and focused on shifting one habit at a time. First up, swapping out the processed junk for more real food.
I teamed up with a trainer that kept things interesting and me accountable for showing up. Slowly but surely the weight came off. I felt more confident. Had more energy. For the first time in years, I was in control.
During this phase, I stumbled upon CrossFit. I know what you’re probably thinking: “CrossFit??” I had the same reservations, but I discovered is that at it’s core, CrossFit isn’t about those over the top workouts you see on Instagram. It’s about community, strength, and functional fitness. I’m not here to try and sell you on CrossFit 😉.
Now I'm An Expert Equipped To Help You Do The Same....
My lifestyle shift led me to pursuing coaching certifications and opening my own coaching facility with my husband. We’re not just focused on deadlifts and burpees; we’ve created the complete package – fitness, nutrition, and mindset shifts.
It’s been incredible to take what I’ve learned from my own journey and use it to help others reclaim their health. I’ve helped hundreds of clients:
- Learn to have a good relationship with food and still enjoy life.
- Start enjoying fitness, moving their bodies, and discovering new strengths they didn’t know they had.
- Shift away from the all-or -nothing mindset to become the best, healthiest version of themselves.
